SKAlectrics performance at the Banbury Christmas Lights switch on!

What an amazing night we had on Sunday! The SKAlectrics were honoured to be asked to entertain the 1000's of people who turned up for the annual Christmas Lights Switch On in Banbury town centre. We were joined on stage by the now infamous 'Two Tone Brothers'.

We would like to thank the organisers for allowing us to be a part of this amazing event and of course to the crowd who braved the cold weather to turn up and support us.

The band was part of a fully packed afternoon of fun including a funfair, seasonal market, Santa’s grotto, face painting, and Christmas decoration workshops. For the switch on itself, four ex-servicemen joined Cllr Clarke on stage to press the button. They were Bert Dowler (Lieutenant, Royal Tank Regiment, World War Two); Mark Smith (Lance Corporal, Royal Anglian Regiment, Afghanistan); Steve Duffy (Sergeant, 2nd Battalion Scots Guards, Falklands and Northern Ireland); and Wally Foreman (Radio Telephone Operator, Royal Navy, HMS Newfoundland, Korean War)

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone.
